Small Group Classical Reformer/Tower/Chair Classes
Pilates Plus embraces the classical Pilates repertoire with some contemporary additions. We offer many group classes each week including reformer, tower, chair, and jump board classes. The class size is small at 5 to ensure personalized attention to each participant. All classes are Pilates apparatus classes. A combination of the Pilates reformer, tower, and chair will be utilized in classes. The studio is also equipped with Pilates props including magic circles, foam rollers, small and large balls, yoga blocks, positioning pillows, jump boards and splits platforms. These are added into class to provide variety, challenge and fun!
Level 1 classes:
In level one group Pilates classes, we focus on the fundamentals that make up the Pilates exercises. It is a great place to start if you are new to Pilates. It’s is also a great place to revisit often if you move up a level or two. You can and should work a level one class into your routine. In level one classes you will learn the classical order of the exercises, the Pilates terminology, the Pilates terminology, and to familiarize yourself to the reformer tower and chair parts and how to make the necessary adjustments to the equipment with assistance. The pace will be slower than an upper level class. This is the right class for you if you need a modification due to an injury you are currently rehabbing.
Level 2 classes:
In level two group Pilates classes you will continue to use the reformer, tower and chair. Learning the next level of classical exercises. You will need to be familiar you need to be more familiar with Pilates terminology and equipment. You need to be able to independently make the necessary adjustments to the equipment to allow the flow of the class to continue without interruption. You will complete more exercises per session than a level 1 class and the exercises progress in challenge.
Level 3 classes:
This is top level offered at Pilates Plus. Level three takes the exercises up a notch in difficulty so having the fundamentals firmly understood is a must. The pace and flow of this class is increased and the number of exercises completed during the session is greater than level 1 and level 2. You must be very familiar with the Pilates terminology and equipment to participate fully in a level 3 class. It is best to not be rehabbing an injury to participate in a level 3 class.
If you are familiar with Pilates on the apparatuses you are welcome to join group classes. Pilates Plus uses ARKETA to schedule our group classes. You will need to set up a free account with ARKETA by clicking the login button under the class calendar tab. Click directly on the class in the calendar you would like to schedule to pay for one class at a time. Click on the purchase tab at the top of the calendar to purchase a package of classes.
