FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

A few of the questions we hear most often from new students and returning practitioners alike.

Many students are completely new to Pilates when they begin at Pilates Plus.

For students who have never used Pilates equipment before, we generally recommend starting with our New Student Introductory Package. It’s a great value and provides three one-on-one sessions designed to help you become comfortable with the reformer, tower, chair, and other Pilates apparatus while learning proper technique and alignment.

That said, you are always welcome to begin with a small group class if you feel ready. With classes limited to just 5 students, instructors are able to provide personalized guidance and support throughout each session.

If you’re unsure where to begin, give us a call and we’ll help guide you to the right class and instructor for your experience level and goals.

Yes. Small class sizes are one of the defining features of Pilates Plus and allow instructors to provide individualized attention throughout class.

Classes may include reformers, towers, Pilates chairs, jump boards, and other classical Pilates apparatus and props such as barrels, bars, bands, Pilates circles, Pilates balls and small hand weights.

If you are new to Pilates equipment, recovering from an injury, dealing with movement limitations, or simply looking for more individualized guidance, we generally recommend beginning with private sessions or our New Student Introductory Package.

Pilates Plus was built around a thoughtful approach to movement and wellness, reflected in our “Rehab | Wellness | Fitness” philosophy. With our owner’s background in physical therapy and all of our instructors’ focus on personalized guidance, private sessions can be an excellent way to build confidence, improve movement patterns, and develop a strong foundation before transitioning into group classes.

That said, many students also begin directly in our small group classes and do very well. Because classes are limited to just 5 students, instructors are able to provide individualized attention and support throughout each session.

If you’re unsure where to begin, give us a call and we’ll help guide you to the instructor and starting point that’s right for you.
