FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Pilates good for beginners?
Yes. Pilates is designed to be accessible at any stage, and our instructors guide students step by step. With class sizes limited to 5 students, you’ll receive the support you need to feel comfortable and confident. We recommend taking advantage of our New Student Intro Offer, which includes 3 private sessions at a great value. During these sessions, you’ll learn the fundamentals of the Pilates work, receive a customized home exercise program, and determine whether classes, private sessions, or a combination of both is the right next step for your body.
What is reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates uses specialized equipment with springs and resistance to support and challenge the body. At Pilates Plus we offer a combination of reformer tower and chair in our classes. Our Private sessions add other equipment to help your body connect better- like the high back chair, baby chair, barrels, pedipulls, spine correctors, Pilates circles and many more props.
How many students are in each class?
Classes are limited to just 5 students. This allows for personalized instruction, better guidance, and a more comfortable, focused environment.
Is Pilates safe if I have an injury?
Yes. Pilates is often used to support injury recovery and prevention. Our certified Pilates instructors are trained to adapt sessions to your individual needs, helping you move safely, effectively, and with greater confidence.
Should I start with a class or a private session?
If you are new to Pilates we recommend you take advantage of our New Student Intro (NSI) package. the NSI is 3 private sessions with one of our teachers where you will learn the fundamentals of Pilates to prepare you to enter classes. You will also receive a customized postural analysis and home exercise program. At the end of the NSI, you and the teacher will discuss what class level is best for you or if a combination of classes and customized privates is the best route.
